The Montague Arms 289 Queens Road London SE15 2PA A characterful street corner pub in New Cross. The external lettering says that it’s a Whitbread pub but on the side wall there is a trademark tiled panel with the black eagle motif and Truman’s lettering, which gives away its original ownership. Although it looks closed this is a popular pub that plays host to many varied music and comedy events.
