In the 70s it was not the sort of place you’d want to look at anyone funny, if you know what I mean. The roughest pub in Bayswater, by all accounts. Now it desperately tries to cultivate a local ambience although more than half of its clientele are tourists from the many nearby budget hotels and guest houses. website
