Truman, Hanbury, Buxton & Company Limited was a London brewer with records stretching back as far as 1666.
The brewery finally closed in 1988, but there remain a wealth of proud and ornately decorated public houses in the London area.

The Royal George’s address used to be 110 Vallance Road. It seems likely that this incarnation was bombed during the war. This charming building replaced it on the corner of Vallance Road and Selby Street. The premises are now used by a purveyor of the finest fried chicken bits.
